What Is the Dermapen™ Micro-Needling Pen?

The Dermapen™ is a revolutionary micro-needling device which aims to tighten, lift and rejuvenate skin. The Dermapen™ can visibly improve the appearance of :

  • How it works

The Dermapen creates minute fractional channels into the skins surface, this triggers a wound healing cascade for renewal and repair. This triggers new collagen production

 

  • What it treats?

Fine lines and loose crepey skin is visibly rejuvenated.

Scar tissue including acne scars, surgical scaring and burns and stretch marks can be improved.

Hyperpigmentation and age spots especially in darker skin types where heat based treatments are not advisable.

 

  • Is it painful?

Prior to treatment a strong prescription only local anaesthetic is applied to numb the area to be treated.

The needle depth is fully adjustable.

 

  • Is there any down time?

Following the treatment you will be given advice on caring for your skin, bland, non active skincare is recommended for 5 days following the treatment.

You should expect some erythema/redness for the first 24-48 hours, and you may feel like you have a slight sun burn. It is recommended that you keep your skin well moisturised and protected from the sun.

A mineral makeup maybe worn.

 

  • How many treatments are recommended?

Depending on the individual and skin concern however generally

4-6 treatments are usually recommended spread 4-6 weeks apart.
